Tasmania wins Antarctic conference bid

Tasmania has won its bid to host an Antarctic science conference in 2020.

The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research delegates' meeting and open science conference will be held in Hobart.

More than 850 delegates from 40 countries will come to the meetings, held over two weeks.
