SA funds to help end isolation
AAP
Two technology companies have been given a grant to help lonely and isolated senior citizens in South Australia.
The $110,000 will be shared between the SpareTime project, a web-based platform that connects elderly with volunteers, and Marco, a telephone technology designed to help the elderly communicate with family and friends.
SA Public Sector Minister Susan Close says the initiative combines digital innovation with aged support and encourages the elderly to be active and connected.
