A notorious stretch of Western Australia's southern coastline where dozens of people have drowned will receive better mobile coverage under a $118 million black spot program.

Salmon Holes, a popular fishing site near Albany, most recently claimed the lives of two men who were swept off the rocks in April.

The dangerous cast-off site will be a priority in the rollout of 130 new or upgraded mobile base stations across WA, which have been jointly funded by the state and federal governments.
