World's biggest game shuts down for more than 12 hours, leaving players distraught
The world's biggest online videogame has gone offline, with gamers unable to play for more than 12 hours.
Fornite, the world's largest free-to-play online game, shutdown on Sunday morning to make way for a major update and now some players were left losing patience.

It's one of just a handful of major updates in the game's history.
One gamer called out Fortnite's creators, Epic Games, on Twitter for "unprofessionalism".
"Fornite is a multibillion dollar company and they still can't fix their servers..." wrote user @Baseer17606932.
Some players saw the humour in it, joking that the downtime has forced them to "interact with family".
The majority are a bit more accepting of the situation and understand that large updates can take time.
What is Fornite?
Fornite is a large online multiplayer videogame that sees 100 players take part in what's known as a Battle Royale and fight it out for victory.
It all takes place on a fictional, 3D island where participants are free to roam.
To win the game, gamers use guns and other creative, cartoon-like weaponry to take out their opponents.

Why are the Fornite servers down?
Fornite is currently undergoing "server maintenance", says Epic Games. A large game update was installed across consoles and PCs today to make way for new gaming content.
What makes this new update so big?
Fornite was created in 2017. Since then the game has had just three major updates which are divided by chapters.
Fornite is now entering Chapter Four and will see an entirely rebuilt gaming map, new characters - including familiar faces like Geralt from The Witcher and Doom Slayer from the Doom franchise - and new ridable motorbikes and vehicles.
When will the servers become playable again?
For Australians, gamers can expect the gaming servers to go live again late Sunday evening - but that's yet to be confirmed.
Twitter account @FortniteStatus, which has more than 2 million followers, is supplying regular updates to the video gaming community.
