Clive Palmer's Queensland Nickel refinery goes into administration, after axing 237 jobs on Friday

Clive Palmer's troubled nickel refinery, Queensland Nickel, has called in the administrators.

The move comes after Mr Palmer on Friday announced that 237 workers would lose their jobs because of the plunge in nickel prices.

Queensland Nickel says it has appointed John Park, Stefan Dopking, Kelly-Anne Trenfield and Quentin Olde of FTI Consulting as voluntary administrators, effective immediately.
