Snack recall issued over 'undeclared allergens'

An Australian snack company has issued a recall of a range of its products over undeclared allergens.

The NSW Food Authority this afternoon warned that Yummy Snack Foods was recalling a number of its Yummy Brand Mixes.

The snack packs do not declare the presence of soy and wheat.

Any customer with an allergy or intolerance for those foodstuffs could have a reaction if they eat them.

People with an allergy who have purchased the relevant packs can return them to the place they bought them, for a full refund.

The snack packs are sold everywhere in Australia except Tasmania, through food retailers, independent grocers (including IGAs), fresh food markets, liquor stores, Asian grocers and BP service stations.

The following products are being recalled:

  • Yummy Brand - Pink Berry Bliss (500g)
  • Yummy Brand - Pink Berry Bliss Large Tub 600g 
  • Yummy Brand - Pink Berry Bliss Mini Tub 250g 
  • Yummy Brand - Choc Orange Lounge Mix 500g 
  • Yummy Brand - Choc Orange Lounge Mix Large Tub 640g 
  • Yummy Brand - Choc Orange Lounge Mix Mini Tub 300g 
  • Drake Brand - Strawberry Yoghurt Mix 400g 
  • Drake Brand - Chocolate Orange Mix 400g 

Products with all best before dates are subject to the recall.
