Woman dies after being hit by car on Mains Rd in Sunnybank

A young woman has died after being hit by a car in Sunnybank.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics were called at 9.26am to the corner of Mains Rd and Turton St after reports of a serious accident.

A pedestrian, believed to be a woman in her 20s, was declared deceased at the scene by paramedics.

Queensland Police confirmed they were responding to a serious crash and diversions are in place southbound via McCullough St.
