Young Queensland man killed in three vehicle crash on south-east highway

A 21-year-old man has been killed on a Queensland highway after his car collided with a truck and he was then struck by a passing vehicle.

Police believe the Toowoomba man was in a collision between his four-wheel drive and a truck. He then stepped out of his vehicle and was hit by a ute.

The man, from Newtown, was critically injured and died at the scene.

The crash occurred on the Gore Highway in Broxburn, near Toowoomba.  Google Maps

The crash occurred on the Gore Highway near Broxburn Road, south-west of Toowoomba in south-east Queensland around 6.20am this morning.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the collision and the driver of the ute has been taken to hospital for assessment.

Police and forensic teams will continue to investigate the crash.
