Aust man dies after hitting glass in Bali
A 24-year-old Australian man has died in a Bali hospital after falling through glass panelling in his Bali hotel room.
The man, believed to be from Perth, was discovered with multiple wounds to his right shoulder and arm around 7pm on Wednesday and rushed to Siloam Hospital, where he died.
Police believe he may have been walking around when he hit some glass and broke it.
"He fell on it and was wounded by the broken glass," Kuta police station chief Ida Bagus Dedy Januarta said on Thursday.
"Blood was oozing from those wounds caused by broken glass ... the victim's life finally could not be saved."
The man's body was sent to Sanglah Hospital to be forensically examined at 3am on Thursday.
The man's cause of death is still to be determined.
However, his family is being contacted for permission to conduct an autopsy.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has confirmed it is providing consular assistance to the family.
