Search underway for man feared drowned off Yorke Peninsula

A hunt for a body is underway after it was seen floating in waters off South Australia.

Just before midday, a young man was swimming with friends at Inneston, on the south-western end of the Yorke Peninsula when he disappeared under water.

Police and emergency services were called when a body was spotted about 20 metres offshore.

The body has since been swept towards a cliff area, making retrieval by water too dangerous.

SA Police PolAir unit is working with water police to try and locate the body.
