World's tallest, most 'insane' water slide opens

It’s got a longer drop than Niagara Falls, punters need to hike 17 stories up just to get aboard and its opening has already been delayed after crash-test dummies failed to survive the ride down.

At over 51 metres high, the slide has a greater drop than that of Niagara Falls and has been dubbed the world’s tallest and fastest water slide.

And while thrillseekers are all set to scale the 260 steps to get onboard, the ride has been delayed by safety concerns. In the most recent incident a crash-test dummy failed to survive the ride.

The owners are confident that the issues have since been rectified.

Fittingly, “Verrückt” is the German word for “insane.”
