Centenarian WWII vet's new lease on life with gift from RSL mates in Quirindi, NSW
A centenarian World War II veteran saw his life change for the better today thanks to his mates at the local RSL.
Cyril Barwick, 104, is a twice-serving WWII veteran who is also the oldest member of the Quirindi RSL sub-branch.
He's been on his feet his entire life – living on his own until recently and getting about on a walking frame.

But today, his friends at the RSL gifted Mr Barwick with a new set of wheels in the form of a motorised wheelchair, to help him stay active a little bit easier.
"We take a lot of care of our vets and this is just another thing we do to keep them comfortable for as long as we can," sub-branch president Doug Hawkins said.
