Man sucked into extraction fan at a mine south of Sydney, rushed to hospital

A man has been rescued from an extraction fan after being trapped underground at a mine in Helensburgh, south of Sydney.
The worker, aged in his 30s, suffered possible neck injuries after being sucked into the machinery this afternoon.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson told 9News multiple crews responded to an emergency call to the mine about 3pm.

A specialist medical team then helicoptered the man to St George Hospital.
He is in a stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.
