The mother of the eight-year-old girl killed after falling from a ride at the Royal Adelaide Show has described her daughter as a “lovely, beautiful, wonderful little angel of my heart”.

Malaysian national Adelene Leong died after she was “catapulted” from the Airmaxx 360 ride at the Showgrounds last Friday.

Police have confirmed Adelene did meet the minimum height requirement for the ride of 120cm.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for information as the investigation into the accident continues.

"In particular we are keen to hear from anyone who may have taken photographs or video footage of the ride involved,” said Chief Inspector Selena Dinning.

"We are also keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of this tragic incident or anyone who experienced anything unusual on the ride.

"Even a small detail may be the crucial information which leads to a clear understanding of what took place."

Adelene’s mother released a photograph of her daughter today in the hope showgoers would recognise her and come forward with information.

Police have so far spoken to over 30 people about the ride.

"The ride has been seized by SafeWork SA and at this time remains in situ," Chief Inspector Dinning said.
