Women hurt in alleged shooting, stabbing

An alleged shooting and stabbing in Melbourne's western suburbs left two women with a suspected gunshot hand wound and a cut to the neck.

Emergency services were called to the Knightsbridge Drive in Tarneit about 3.15pm on Sunday and found a woman, believed to be in her 20s, with a suspected gunshot wound to the hand, and another woman aged in her 40s to 50s with a cut to the neck.

Police arrested a man, aged in in his 30s, at the scene and he is assisting police with their investigations.
