Woman fighting for life after Vic fire

A 60-year-old woman is fighting for her life in hospital after a unit fire in Melbourne.
The blaze started in the two-storey St Albans unit on Wednesday morning, with firefighters finding a woman inside suffering burns.
She remains in The Alfred Hospital in a critical condition on Wednesday night.

A six-year-old girl found in the property's backyard was also taken to Sunshine Hospital along with a woman who reported the blaze.
Both were later released.
A pet dog and bird died in the blaze, which destroyed everything inside the home.
