A man is fighting for his life after he was stabbed in the head shortly after a woman was slashed across the face in Brisbane's south.
Police say a 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged over both incidents at separate locations in Moorooka last night.
A 52-year-old woman was stabbed in the face during an argument with a man at a Helles Street property around 6pm.
"She’d suffered some shocking facial injuries that were allegedly done with a knife,” Inspector Daniel Bragg told reporters.
The woman is in a stable condition in Princess Alexandra Hospital along with the 30-year-old man who was stabbed in the head and forearm.
He was allegedly attacked at a residence on Keats Street shortly after the first incident.
The suspect fled the scene of the second stabbing on foot but was found nearby a short time later and taken into custody.
He has been charged with two counts of acts intended to maim and one count each of common assault and willful damage.
He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court later today.
