Police searching for woman who offered Qld school children a lift

Police are hunting a woman who tried to lure Brisbane school children into her car by claiming to be a teacher.
Queensland Police said the woman approached students two times in the city’s south.
On February 19 about 8am she stopped her car beside two pupils, aged 15 and 17, as they walked along Pine Street, Runcorn.
The suspect claimed to be a teacher from their school and offered them a lift.
After the teenagers refused, the woman drove away.
Later on February 23 about 3.15pm, the woman drove up to a 12-year-old student on Wadley Street, Macgregor, and signalled for her to approach the vehicle.
The student refused and the woman left.
Police have issued a photo-fit image of the woman.
She is of Asian appearance, about 35-38 years old, medium build with black hair and brown eyes.
She drove a silver SUV similar in size to a Toyota Rav 4.
Police are warning children to be wary walking to and from school and not to accept lifts from strangers.
