A woman has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a “projectile” in Perth’s north-east this afternoon.

The 24-year-old was in a car in Bayswater with a man when she was injured.

The pair took themselves to Bayswater Police Station after the incident and the woman was taken to the Royal Perth Hospital.

Her injuries are not life threatening.

In a statement, police said they believe the injury was sustained from a firearm, but that is yet to be determined.
