Woman stabbed to death in Townsville unit

A woman has been fatally stabbed at a unit block at Townsville in north Queensland.

Police say the woman died at the scene after being stabbed in the suburb of Idalia at about 11pm on Saturday.

A man, who is known to the woman, was arrested and taken to Townsville Hospital for treatment.

A crime scene has been declared as police investigations continue.
