Woman dies in trail bike accident

A woman has died after falling off a trail bike in the NSW Southern Highlands.

Police say the 54-year-old woman was riding the bike at a Bullio property on Sunday when she hit an embankment and fell into a small ravine, with the bike landing on top of her.

She was with family who had been taking turns to ride the bike and she was wearing a helmet.

Ambulance paramedics attended the scene and took the woman to Bowral Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating and will prepare a report for the coroner.
