Man charged with murder after allegedly stabbing partner to death and injuring daughter

A Sydney woman has been stabbed to death and her teenage daughter taken to hospital after an attack at a home in the city's south.

The woman's 58-year-old partner, believed to be the teen's father, has been charged with murder and wounding with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm.

Emergency services were called to the property on Valda St in Bexley around 6:45pm (AEDT) tonight, where they found the woman.

The 45-year-old died at the scene. 

The second woman, 18, was taken to St George Hospital suffering serious injuries to her hands. 

The charged man had presented himself to Kogarah police station at around 7pm. 

Police believe the attack is a domestic incident.
