Woman dies in Sydney crash

A elderly woman has died in a single-vehicle car crash in Sydney.

Just after 9pm yesterday, Toyota Camry crashed into a wall at a shopping centre carpark on Avoca Street in Randwick.

The sole occupant, a woman believed to be aged in her 70s, died at the scene.

Police are investigating and will prepare a report for the coroner.

Officers have asked witnesses to the crash to come forward.
