Terrifying chase as two men pursue woman across two trains and down Sydney road

A Sydney woman has been through a terrifying ordeal after reportedly being chased by a pair of men along two trains and in a frantic race down the street.

A woman named Merlyn, whose last name has not been released, only escaped her would-be attackers after another woman picked her up in her car and drove away, the Daily Telegraph has reported.

She said she was originally accosted about 11pm on Tuesday at Wolli Creek station in southern Sydney by two men who tried to grab her.

The men followed her down to the platform, and she jumped on a train before switching at Turella.

She eventually disembarked about 30 minutes after getting on her initial train, near her home in Beverly Hills.

However, she was shocked to see the two men get off the train as well.

One of the men chased her down King Georges Rd, and she fended him away with her umbrella while calling for help.

Merlyn reportedly said her attackers, who she believed were going to kidnap and sexually assault her, were of African appearance, aged between 18 and 22.

One was of a slim build and the other was larger.

Police are investigating the incident.
