A 48-year-old woman will face court next month, after being caught allegedly driving a school bus while high on cannabis.

Police were conducting road side drug testing in Dalwallinu, around 250km north-east of Perth, in February and stopped the 20-seater bus shortly after the children had been dropped off.

The driver failed the test and was taken to the Dalwallinu Police station.

Results of a second test have since confirmed she had the drug in her system.

She will face court in May on a charge of driving while under the influence of an illicit drug.
