Woman charged after police unravel alleged nationwide Facebook Marketplace scam
A Melbourne woman has been charged after Victoria Police unravelled several alleged Facebook Marketplace scams that drew in at least 20 victims around the country.
The 37-year-old woman from Donvale offered high-end fashion items for sale on social media from April to May this year, police will allege.
After her customers purchased the items, police allege the woman kept the money and never sent the customers the goods.

Victims of the alleged scammer are believed to be from all over the country.
"The deceptions are in the thousands of dollars worth," police said in a statement.
The woman was arrested at her home in Donvale yesterday, and has been charged with 25 counts of obtaining property by deception.
She was granted bail and is expected to appear at Ringwood Magistrate's Court today.
