Woman charged after 'storming pizza place with baseball bat'

A pizza restaurant is ready to shut down after a woman allegedly stormed the premises with a baseball bat.

The frightening ordeal in the Marcellina outlet in Adelaide played out in front of customers including a young child.

Franchisee Michael said the drama started when the woman's boyfriend rang to order a pizza.

Just minutes later, he claimed, the woman was in his restaurant with her boyfriend not far behind, and threatening Michael and his brother Peter.

The woman and her boyfriend were arrested about 9.40pm yesterday.

The 29-year-old woman was charged with aggravated affray, and the 34-year-old man was cautioned for disorderly behavior and fined for drink diving.

Michael says this latest incident could be the last straw.

"My family last night said, just close the business, because if someone walked in and stabbed you, what are we going to do," he said.

The pizza shop has been targeted by a number of attackers.
