Teen dies at Victoria beach

Meanwhile, a teenage boy has died in the coastal Victorian town of Lorne.

Victoria Police said the teenager was one of three young men body surfing at Cumberland River Beach, near where the Cumberland River meets the ocean, when one of the trio got into difficulty just before 6pm.

The two other young men tried to help "before all three found themselves in difficulty", police said.

"The trio were able to make their way to shore before they collapsed needing assistance.

"An off-duty doctor along with an onlooker and then police and Surf Life Rescue performed CPR and provided first aid to the men before ambulance paramedics arrived.

"Sadly, a 19-year-old St Albans young man died at the scene."
