More items found in William Tyrrell search sent for examination
Detectives are continuing to comb through bushland in Kendall, on the NSW Mid North Coast, near the home that William Tyrrell disappeared from in 2014.
Today a large piece of black fabric was uncovered at one of the search sites as grave expert Tony Lowe watched on.
It was photographed and walked back to base before it was sent off for examination with two other items which were also bagged today.

It is not yet clear whether any of these specimens are relevant to the investigation and police are yet to release test results for any of the eleven items found in this search, including a red string.
In Sydney, William Tyrrell's foster parents faced court for the first mention of an unrelated common assault charges.

The case does not involve the missing three-year-old and he is not connected to those proceedings.
A senior detective was also in court for the case, which was adjourned for two weeks without a plea.
