The widow of Family Court Judge David Opas says he warned her there could be bloodshed, before he was shot dead in 1980.
Kristin Opas appeared via video link in the NSW Supreme Court trial of his accused killer Leonard John Warwick.
Warwick is accused of shooting Justice Opas in the courtyard of his home in 1980.
Pointing to pictures of their Woollahra courtyard she said she saw her husband, "lying at the bottom of those stairs, with his head on those tiles and his feet towards the gate as though he had been pushed backwards".

She said he spoke of some people in court causing him angst.
"He often commented on the anger of these people who were before him," she said.
"He said there'd be blood shed at Parramatta Court if they didn't have more security."
Warwick has pleaded not guilty to killing Justice Opas and three other people in a shooting and bombing spree which ended in 1985.
Today he complained to Justice Peter Garling when he couldn't see the witness.
"Can you explain to the court why you are extending special privileges to Mrs Opas?" he demanded.
The technical issue was rectified a short time later.
The trial continues.
