Whooping cough hits three Brisbane schools

Whooping cough has been detected at three Brisbane schools within a week.
Cases of the highly contagious infection have now been detected at Brisbane State High School, Sunnybank State High School and Albany Creek State High School.
The Department of Education and Training said the affected individuals had been excluded from the schools until given the all-clear by a doctor.
