Power Up for star-helmed array of artists at major free Sydney festival
Sydney's White Bay Power Station will host hundreds of musicians for a major free music festival next month.
The Power Up festival will take place from Friday, September 20, to Sunday, September 22, with local music and art taking centre stage.
Platinum-selling, ARIA-winning artist Josh Pyke, who grew up just around the corner from the iconic venue, will headline the massive line-up of musical talent.

More than 100 artists, and 200 musicians and performers, are listed to take the stage.
"I've been to most art spaces in the country and a bunch around the world, and I genuinely think this has the potential to be the best in the country, if not the Asia Pacific region," Pyke said.
"I'm really honoured to play here, and can't wait."

The Boiler House will offer a sonic journey with DJs, choirs, orchestras, and electrifying bands. The Turbine Hall will hold family-oriented workshops.
During the festival, visitors can also view finalists for the 14th GreenWay Art Prize.
The prize was established to capture the essence of the GreenWay (from the Cooks River to Iron Cove) through visual art and to celebrate the vibrancy, creativity and community spirit of the Inner West.

"There will be an incredible diversity of creative talent from visual artists to musicians to magicians who live and work in the area," NSW Arts Minister John Graham said.
"This weekend of artistic expression aligns with our vision for White Bay Power Station to be a great arts and cultural and community venue for Sydney."
