What's in the 2015/16 ACT budget
ACT BUDGET AT A GLANCE:
* $407.5 million deficit in 2015/16
* Projected return to modest surplus in 2018/19
* $5.1 billion total expenditure
* 2.75 per cent state final demand in 2015/16
* Employment forecast to grow by 0.75 per cent in 2015/16
* $560 million cut to share of GST over four years
MEASURES INCLUDED IN THE 2015/16 BUDGET
* $1.5 billion spent on health
* $1.1 billion spent on education
* $375 million set aside for light rail construction
* $1.6 million to attract international flights to Canberra
* First home owners grant cut to $10,000 in 2016 and $7000 in 2017
* $3.3 million for a new Supreme Court judge
* $10 million to start revitalising Lake Burley Griffin's West Basin
* $8 million to expand the Legislative Assembly for extra eight MLAs to be elected in 2016
* $5 million revenue from extending paid parking hours to 10.30pm every day
* Car registration, parking fees, water abstraction charges and other charges to increase
