DOCTORS' WISHLIST FOR THE COALITION GOVERNMENT

* Medicare patient rebate freeze scrapped.

* More investment in general practice doctors.

* Public hospital funding to be set by population growth, demographic change and an indexation rate relevant to healthcare costs.

* Scrap bulk billing cuts for certain X-rays and blood tests.

* More money for prevention, including regarding alcohol and obesity.

* Investment in undergraduate medical training, training positions.

* Measures to improve employment or engagement in areas like volunteering and community service.
