Truck driver ejected from vehicle in West Hoxton Park after crash

A truck driver has suffered serious injuries after he was flung from the vehicle following a crash in western Sydney overnight.

Emergency crews were called to Fifteenth Avenue at West Hoxton after the small truck smashed into a power pole at about 12.45am.

Police and paramedics found the driver had been partially ejected from the truck and was quickly treated for a number of injuries including multiple leg fractures.

He was put in an induced coma before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.
