Former AFL star arrested over fire that burned down parents' Perth home
Former West Coast Eagles player Daniel Kerr is behind bars, charged over a fire that burned down his parents' Perth home.
The Kardinya house went up in smoke yesterday, and 37-year-old Kerr was charged with lighting the fire.
His lawyer has said Kerr will be "vigorously" defending the charges and denied all responsibility.

Police will allege they have footage that they claim shows Kerr coming and going from the home at the time of the incident.
Kerr had been living at the home by himself.
His father did not respond when approached for comment today.
The fire started in the living room and spread through the back of the house before neighbours called Triple Zero just after 4pm.

Police arrested Kerr at a business on Stirling Highway an hour later.

He will spend tonight in jail after being charged with criminal damage by fire.
Kerr played more than 200 games for the Eagles between 2001-2013.
