Wedding ring finds its way back to avalanche victim's widow
A Melbourne woman who lost her "adventurous" husband in an avalanche six years ago has been re-united with his wedding ring after losing it in a park.
Sally Buckland's husband, Marty, was killed by an avalanche that came barrelling down the Victorian Alps in 2014.
Since then, she's worn the popular teacher's wedding ring on a chain around her neck.

But last Thursday, during a walk in Mount Evelyn's Owl Land Reserve, the chain broke, and the ring was lost.
"I did kinda just panic as it's something I feel so connected to, something I always said I would pass on to our little boy when I'm older," Ms Buckland told 9News.
The Mount Evelyn resident made a desperate plea to the community to help her find it, plastering the town with flyers she'd made with friend Kate Downward.
In a phenomenal stroke of luck, a young couple saw the flyers while on a walk, and then found the ring.
"It was really nice to find something for someone," Victoria Kuczera told 9News.
"These things never get found usually."

In another lucky coincidence, Ms Kuczera and her partner found out they actually lived only one street over from Ms Buckland.
They were able to return the ring to her that very same night.
"It's got new meaning to it now," Ms Buckland said.
"It symbolizes to me what this community would do to help me get it back."
