It’s the wedding video no bride would want – a flurry of action as the groom and guests run towards a car, with the bride still in her high heels and wedding gown.

The alleged driver of the vehicle, 55-year-old Gary Scicluna, faced Picton Local Court this morning on charges of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and possession of a prohibited drug.

Police allege Mr Scicluna sped towards wedding guests at the Harrington Grove Country Club after getting into an argument with a relative of the happy couple.

The pool builder has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.

Outside court today he said he wished all the very best to newlyweds Tenille and Adam Bradley.

“I empathise with the bride and the groom and the family, okay,” he said.

Mr Scicluna, who represented himself today, will reappear in court in November.
