Wayans 'had no idea' who Goodrem was

He called her “the most unrhythmic white woman” and now comedian Marlon Wayans has added to the insult by claiming he didn’t even know who Delta Goodrem was.

“Apparently it was a famous white woman. I just thought it was just a regular, just plain old, caucasian woman,” Wayans told entertainment website TMZ.

Wayans denied he was a racist, but then suggested the Australian singer should stick to dancing to techno, which was “made for white people”.

The Scary Movie actor created a social media storm earlier this week after he posted a photo of himself and Goodrem at the Beyonce and Jay Z concert in Los Angeles on Twitter and Instagram.

The photo was captioned, “man I got the most UNRHYTHMIC WHITE WOMAN dancing next to me...this b**** dancing to AC/DC”.

Goodrem made light of the situation, Tweeting, “had a blast last night” along with a video of Seinfeld character Elaine showing off her atrocious dance moves.

Wayans, who has refused to apologise to Goodrem over the controversy, told TMZ he had tried to copy her dancing at the concert but couldn’t because she had “created a new rhythm”.

“She kept bumping into me...I thought she thinks it's an AC-DC concert 'cause she was slam dancing me,” he said.

Despite the bad dancing, Wayans said he enjoyed Goodrem’s company.

“She’s a nice lady, we talked the whole concert,” he said.
