Watchdog eyes removal of terror material

The man responsible for monitoring Australia's counter-terrorism laws is considering an inquiry into how authorities can remove radicalisation material from the internet faster.

James Renwick, the Independent National Security Legislation Monitor, says it is an important topic which comes up often during conversations with international peers.

"Everyone I talk to says that is a big topic, and that would be a large and difficult inquiry," Dr Renwick told a Senate estimates hearing in Canberra on Tuesday.
