Passionate young Wallabies fan rides emotional rollercoaster

There's nothing like the agony and ecstasy of sport – from the anguish of defeat to the joy of victory.

And a young rugby fan has shown what following the Wallabies means to him after being filmed as he watched the final minutes of the national side's nail-biting win over South Africa.

With the Wallabies trailing 20-17 late in the match the 11-year-old boy sits glued to the TV, riding every play during the closing stages of the come from behind win.

Dressed in his pyjamas and Wallabies cap, the youngster holds his breath, screams and fluctuates like an emotional yo-yo.

"Come on…keep going," he screams as the Wallabies press for a match-winning try.

"No, no," he adds, as their chances of scoring appear to dwindle.

He then pleads with the side to keep going.

"Come on. I know you can do it," he says, as he holds his face in his hands.

Then when Wallabies forward Tevita Kuridrani crashes over the line in the 82nd minute the boy's anguish amplifies as the five pointer goes to the video referee for a review.

The youngster finds it too difficult to watch the multiple replays of the try, at one stage dropping to his knees with his back to the screen and pounding the floor with his hands.

He then turns and faces the TV in prayer, before joy finally takes over as the try is awarded, prompting him to scream in joy, fist pump and eventually collapse on the ground.

Thankfully it all ends happily. Talk about a rollercoaster ride!
