Tenth man charged over Wakeley church stabbing riot

A man, who allegedly took part in a riot outside of a Wakeley church following the stabbing of a Sydney bishop, has become the tenth person to be charged over the incident.

NSW Police officers executed a search warrant at a home in Granville, arresting a 27-year-old man at the home.

Police also seized several items alleged to be linked to the incident.

Police took the man to Granville Police Station where he was charged with rioting and throwing missiles at police officers.

He was refused bail and will appear before Parramatta Local Court tomorrow.

The riot broke out in the Western Sydney suburb of Wakeley following the alleged terror stabbing of 53-year-old Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel.

Nine other men have been charged over their alleged roles in the riot, and all remain before the courts.
