Waka Flocka breaks up brawling fans and makes them hug

Rappers are often accused of glorifying violence but US hip hop artist Waka Flocka managed to defy the stereotype at a recent concert, where he was filmed breaking up a fight and forcing the feuding fans to hug it out.

When Waka spotted two men come to blows during a concert in Scottsdale, Arizona, he decided to "play the role of big brother", according to a description posted online, along with a video of the dust-up, by the rapper's touring partner Whoo Kid.

"He stopped rapping to put the two dudes in the corner, and broke up the fight," Whoo Kid said.

"That's what the f— I'm talking about!" Waka says in the video, after the two brawling concertgoers share a conciliatory embrace.

The intervention was praised by fans who posted their admiration on Twitter.

"@WakaFlockabsm a real one for having people hug instead of let them fight at his show, taking control like a boss I respect it," tweeted account user Te'.
