Teenager dies in alleged hit-run on Western Australian highway

A 19-year-old has died after an alleged hit-and-run along the notorious Indian Ocean Drive in Western Australia.
Police said they had stepped out of a van parked by the side of the road when a vehicle hit them about 5.40am yesterday at about four kilometres south of Jurien Bay.
Officers said the driver didn't stop after hitting them and continued to travel north.

They died at the scene.
Major crash investigators are searching for witnesses.
