Worker dies after being hit by WA train

A worker has been killed after being struck by a train while carrying out maintenance on a pedestrian crossing in Perth.

The Public Transport Authority employee died near Guildford Station on the Midland Line at 10.35am after he was hit by a city-bound train.

WorkSafe is investigating.

About 50 passengers on the train were taken away on a replacement bus.

Full services have resumed on the line.
