Two men charged over Perth home invasion and shooting
Two men have been charged over a home invasion in Perth in which a woman was allegedly shot in the leg.
A 22-year-old Karrinyup man and a 35-year-old Heathridge man were arrested shortly after leaving the woman’s home.
It’s alleged they broke into the Kiln Road home in Carabooda and confronted a 32-year-old woman at 11.20pm last night, wearing balaklavas.
The woman was allegedly assaulted and shot in the leg when an altercation occurred between her and the intruders.
She suffered non-life threatening injuries and is being treated at Royal Perth Hospital.
The men were each charged with assault with intent to rob, burglary, grievous bodily harm and wounding.
The 22-year-old was also charged with possessing a prohibited drug.
Both men were due to front Joondalup Magistrates Court today.
