WA stadium scaffolder dies after 20m fall

A scaffolder has died after falling up to 20 metres from Perth's HBF Stadium.

It's understood the man fell from the rooftop of the stadium just after 2pm on Wednesday and was taken to Royal Perth hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Following the incident, a Worksafe spokeswoman said it was believed the worker had fallen between 15 to 20 metres.

Police say the death is being referred to the coroner.
