WA shire ex-CEO admits stealing $600,000

A former chief executive of a regional WA Wheatbelt shire has admitted stealing $600,000 over a four year period.

Following an investigation by the Corruption and Crime Commission, Dacre Alcock pleaded guilty to four separate charges of stealing a total of $599,879.92 from the Shire of Dowerin.

The charges involved 665 individual instances of theft, which took place between October 17, 2011 and October 26, 2015.
