AAP
A prison officer in Western Australia's Pilbara region has been charged with fraud, accused of making false claims for subsidised housing assistance.
The Department of Justice said the Roebourne Regional Prison worker allegedly made the claims between 2014 and 2020.
The officer has been suspended from duty pending the outcome of the charges and a separate internal investigation by the department, and will face Karratha Magistrates Court on June 10.
