WA policeman charged with Pilbara assault

A policeman has been stood aside from operational duty after being accused of committing offences in WA's Pilbara region earlier this year.

Police have charged the 27-year-old first class constable with reckless driving and two counts of assault, alleging the offences occurred in South Hedland on June 11.

The officer will face the town's magistrates court later on Monday.
